Our client provides customers with heating and insulation solutions, both privately and through the government’s ECO3 (Energy Company Obligation) - a funding scheme designed to help people make their homes more energy efficient.This requires a large amount of data and regulatory paperwork - handling customers from incoming warm leads (provided by both external lead generators and internal advertising methods), through the various qualifying paperwork for funding, through to technical surveys of homes and eventually the installation of insulation or heating appliances. The issues of handling this much data between the multiple systems in place meant that there is risk of information not being gathered, or of data slipping ‘between the cracks’ as it is transferred from one system to another as the job progresses.This also presented challenges where reporting was concerned; without a clear single point of truth, it quickly becomes very labour intensive to compare data from three systems to get meaningful Management Information (MI), forcing our client to be reactive to changes and issues, rather than proactively seeing opportunities and risks.
